We aim to make accessing psychological support as straightforward as possible. Below you'll find our current fees, available funding pathways, and how to get started.
Fees are reviewed periodically. Our team will confirm the current fee when you make an enquiry.

Please note: Fees listed are a guide and are reviewed annually. Medicare rebate amounts are set by the Australian Government and subject to change. Our team will confirm current fees and funding options when you get in touch. A valid Medicare card and referral are required to claim the Medicare rebate.
We accept a wide range of funding pathways to help make psychology accessible for everyone.
Receive up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year with a Medicare rebate, when referred under a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP or psychiatrist.
Many private health insurance policies include a psychology benefit under extras cover. Rebate amounts vary by fund and policy level — check with your insurer.
For clients with an accepted WorkSafe claim relating to a work-related psychological injury. We bill WorkSafe directly — you typically have no out-of-pocket cost.
Clients injured in a transport accident may be eligible for TAC-funded psychological support. We bill TAC directly for accepted claims.
VOCAT provides financial assistance to victims of violent crime, including funded psychological counselling. We are a registered VOCAT provider.
You can access our services privately without a referral. This gives you full flexibility over session frequency and content, without needing to involve your GP.
You don't need a referral to make an enquiry. Simply reach out and we'll guide you through the process.
Call us on (03) 9796 1396 or send an enquiry online. You can also email us at enquiries@berwickcounselling.com.au. No referral is needed at this stage.
We'll discuss your needs and match you with the most appropriate psychologist from our team based on your goals, availability, and any funding pathway you're using.
If you're accessing Medicare rebates, you'll need a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP or psychiatrist before your first session. We can advise on this when you enquire.
We'll confirm a time that suits you — either in person at our Berwick rooms or via Telehealth. We'll send you any required paperwork in advance.
Arrive a few minutes early for your first appointment. Payment is processed on the day. If you have a Medicare card or private health card, bring it along.
We understand that circumstances change. To respect our psychologists' time and to accommodate other clients, we ask that you give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Please note that Medicare and private health insurers do not cover cancellation or non-attendance fees.
Our friendly admin team is happy to walk you through your options — no obligation.
